All websites - orbitz, travelocity, priceline, sidestep etc have prices that are just shooting through the roof. I am in southern california, have 11 days and would love to travel either within or outside US.
Any suggestions?

try Dubai if you want to go to a safe city. You can get a 96 hour free visa in the airport at the passport control center.
dubai has the best electronic gagets for sale inside the city. Be sure to bring your credit card.
