I am a student working on a social studies project about North Korea. Getting some images from street view on google maps would be really helpfull but I can not seem to get it to work. Can someone help me fix this issue.

Street views only exist where google has been able to take a vehicle (sometimes it is actually a bicycle) equipped with cameras physically down the street.

That will probably never happen in N. Korea. Anyone trying to do that would be arrested and probably imprisoned.

North Korea relies very heavily on conscription to build troop numbers... pretty much all the male population is handed a gun when they get to a certain age and told to defend the country if need be... North Korea is also isolated from the world... foreign tourists are literally banned from entry into the country for the threat that they may be foreign journalists of some sort or spies... and those who are bought into the country are regally followed and have restricted access to things such as camera's and are usually taken around the city instead of being able to roam freely... life is basically there are very few rich and many many poor... they have unreliable power stations and electricity is restricted to about 10 pm then light go out... to be honest i couldn't give two hoots about North Korea... i see the country going broke before they are actually able to successfully build a good nuclear device....

To get some glimpses of North Korea, Street View is useless, but youtube will provide you with some videos. There are several videos by tourists who have been to North Korea, as well as propaganda videos by the North Korean government. ... Don't know exactly what you need for your project, but that's all there is.

Google Streetview is avalaible in DPRK, but it's very limited. I did it myself, I have been the first ever to do so in july 2013. I used GoogleSphere apps on Android, did 9 spots in Pyongyang and published them. When you go in Googlemaps in Pyongyang, press the little yellow men to go in streetview, and you will see blue squares everywhere that are pictures. My 360 degrees streetview pictures are seen as blue circles, and they are mostly close to some of the major touristic attractions.

You cannot get street views of nk, its a very strict country and its forbidden, they won't allow maps or google to street view them
