How long does it take to walk from California to Texas?

I don't have a driver's license and a car. I met this girl on Facebook and she wants me to meet her. We are in love and we both wanna meet.

I'll do anything just to get to her.

Los Angeles to Houston is about 1500 miles. If you walk an average 3mph that's 500 hours. If you walk 16 hours a day that's 11 days. But walking on interstate highways (the most direct route) is illegal so plan on a few extra days to take surface roads, and make sure you have enough money that you won't be arrested as a vagrant. If you're under 16, plan on being arrested as a runaway . The money you'd spend on food and several pairs of shoes would be enough to buy a bus ticket.
