You need a standard business license. You must also register your business as a seller of travel in California. If ou want your own agency you will also need to get bonded.

No, but you need to have a good working knowledge of Geography. the hardest thing are airport codes. Some make sense, some don't. next be computer literate and a quick study. Travel Agent jobs aren't for the faint of heart. the market is tough and Agencies are getting closed. If you can hook up with a big agency *ie American Express* You will be in good shape. Amex has a program for those starting out in the business.

Licensing is not required. However, if you're planning on opening your business there's a bunch legalities such as CST # and ARC certification.
