you can join one of those host travel agencies and just take on as many bookings as you want. those consortiums pay commission for bookings you make. however, there is a membership fee. some of the major ones:

being a travel agent is a full time 24/7 job... you could try a travel agency in your area, some have classes, but i would think twice about it as a part time job,it's not...
